AEW Signs Lee Moriarty

Taigastyle is staying around

Independent wrestling star Lee Moriarty has signed with All Elite Wrestling.

Following Moriarty's match against Daniel Garcia at the Dark: Elevation tapings, AEW President Tony Khan offered The Apex Of Combat a contract. Moriarty accepted, simply saying, "Hell yes!"

The young star made his AEW debut last month on the August 17 edition of Dark against Dante Martin. He also faced Joey Janela earlier this week on Dark.

While Moriarty has been wrestling for six years, he cemented himself as a wrestler to watch on the independent scene with his trilogy of matches against Alex Shelley in late 2019 and early 2020.

He continued to put on impressive performances once indie wrestling resumed in the summer of 2020 and he ended WARHORSE's 532-day reign as IWTV Independent Wrestling Champion in March 2021. Moriarty would hold the gold for 61 days before dropping it to Wheeler Yuta.

The new AEW signing is also active in MLW and ROH and he is set to compete at Death Before Dishonor on September 12.
