REVEALED: Why Wardlow Is Off AEW TV

Reason Wardlow hasn't been on AEW TV

Why Wardlow has been gone from All Elite Wrestling's programing for months has been revealed.

Wardlow's Undisputed Kingdom stablemate Matt Taven noted on the Stick to Wrestling podcast the three-time TNT Champion is currently sidelined with a knee injury.

"I mean, Wardlow's out with a knee injury and as a guy with plenty of knee injuries in the past, they can be tricky. You start to think they're one thing and then you think they're another and then you think, oh, I can get away with doing this or that and it seems to be more serious so, I think he's just trying to figure out exactly what the best kind of treatment plan is to get him back on track with that knee," Taven said.

Wardlow hasn't wrestled on AEW programming since he unsuccessfully challenged Samoa Joe for the AEW World Title at March's Big Business Dynamite special. Issues between Adam Cole and Wardlow were teased at the time but Cole hasn't appeared on TV since May's Double or Nothing pay-per-view and Cole himself hasn't wrestled since suffering a serious ankle injury one year ago.

How long Wardlow will remain out of action is unknown. The 36-year-old promised earlier this year to recover his popularity to Double or Nothing 2022 levels
