Andrade Debuts On AEW Dynamite

El Idolo is All Elite

Less than three months after leaving WWE, Andrade made his debut for AEW, during Friday night's live broadcast of Dynamite.

Preceding his debut, Vickie Guerrero randomly interrupted an interview that Tony Schiavone was conducting with Mark Henry. She ordered Schiavone out of the ring, before formally introducing Andrade as her surprise new client.

Andrade made his entrance, and thanked Guerrero for the introduction. He then declared that he once considered himself the face of Latinos, before declaring himself to now be the overall face of All Elite Wrestling.

Guerrero and the announcers referred to him in full as "Andrade el Idolo", so that's presumably his full stage name going forward.

Andrade received his WWE release in the middle of March, a release that did not include a non-compete period. He reportedly asked out of the company one week earlier. He had not wrestled for WWE since October 12 of last year, losing to Angel Garza on Monday Night Raw.

One month ago, Andrade challenged Kenny Omega to a match for Omega's AAA Mega championship, to take place at AAA TripleMania XXIX on August 14.
