Big E: I've Treasured My Responsibilities Since Becoming WWE Champion

Big E won the WWE Championship in September

Big E could not be happier in his current position in WWE, revealing he is treasuring his role in the promotion.

Since winning the WWE Championship in September, Big E has headlined pay-per-views, regularly closes live events to send fans home happy, and has become one of the company's most reliable individuals for media appearances.

Speaking on My Mom's Basement, Big E said: "I guess I didn’t think my life would change this much. And I kept kinda waiting for things to come back to some semblance of normalcy, but I don’t know if that’s a thing anymore, which has been great.

"It’s been fun, it’s very, very busy. Life is hectic, but in the best ways. And I think of, in many ways, the WWE Championship means many things but it’s also a passport for me in many ways, in the sense that now I’m able to walk through these doors that really didn’t exist for me before or maybe weren’t as readily available.

“I’ve been able to a lot of things that I just really love. And then also from an in-ring perspective, is now I’m in this position of opening the shows. Man we were just in the UK and I leave those shows just incredibly grateful because now I’m the guy in the main events.

“We had street fights, it was me and Bobby Lashley in a street fight, you know, having these fun matches, closing the show. And now I’m the guy who grabs the mic at the end of the show to send people home happy. It’s so bizarre in the best way, but I love doing it. I really love doing it and I’ve treasured that role."
