The Rock Returns At WWE Bad Blood

The Rock makes his return at WWE Bad Blood

The Rock made his return to WWE in the closing moments of Bad Blood, appearing at a WWE event for the first time since April.

The main event of Bad Blood saw Jimmy Uso return and help Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes to defeat Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu, with Roman Reigns pinning Solo Sikoa following a Spear to win the match. The post-match shenanigans saw Reigns and Jimmy Uso save Cody from a Bloodline beatdown and the pay-per-view looked set to go off the air before The Rock's theme suddenly filled Atlanta's State Farm Arena.

The Rock ultimately left the fans wanting more, simply staring at Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes from the entrance ramp before he gave his trademark eyebrow raise and signalled '1-2-3' with his fingers to the ring, calling back to his pinfall win over Cody from WrestleMania 40.

The Rock made his return to WWE in January 2024, with it being announced soon after that he had been added to the TKO Board of Directors. The Rock then joined The Bloodline and was initially scheduled to face Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 40 before WWE changed their plans to Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

The Rock still wrestled, teaming with Reigns against Rhodes and Seth Rollins in the main event of WrestleMania 40 night one, pinning Cody Rhodes to win that match. Dwayne Johnson then confronted Cody on the Raw after WrestleMania 40, with reports noting the plan for the main event of WrestleMania 41 was Cody Rhodes vs. The Rock.
