Brock Lesnar Turns Heel, Attacks Cody Rhodes On WWE Raw After WrestleMania 39

Brock Lesnar will feud with Cody Rhodes going forward on WWE TV

Brock Lesnar is once again a heel in WWE.

It appeared Lesnar was going to compete in his first match on Monday Night Raw since 2002 after he revealed he would be Cody Rhodes' tag team partner in the main event of the Raw after WrestleMania 39 to take on Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa. Before the match could get underway, though, Lesnar suddenly attacked Rhodes, taking him out with an F5.

The multi-time world champion then proceeded to beat down Rhodes around ringside, attacking him with a steel chair and the steel steps before he put Cody through the announce table with an F5. Lesnar then threw Cody's lifeless body back into the ring to F5 him onto the steel steps.

That looked to be it but Lesnar decided halfway up the ramp to turn back and batter Rhodes some more with repeated steel chair shots. He then screamed at Rhodes before heading up the ramp and flipping off the WWE officials and medical team who tended to Cody as Raw went off the air.

Earlier in the night it appeared that Rhodes would continue his feud with Roman Reigns, having challenged the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion to a rematch. Reigns declined, though, which set up the main event tag match.

Brock Lesnar had been a babyface since his return at SummerSlam 2021, with his Cowboy persona having been popular amongst WWE fans.
