WWE 'Chomping At The Bit' To Sign Daniel Garcia

WWE want to sign Daniel Garcia

It looks like we could be about to see the real bidding war of 2024, with WWE reportedly eager to sign All Elite Wrestling star Daniel Garcia.

Garcia is quickly coming to the end of his AEW deal, and despite being heavily featured on TV and PPV in recent weeks ‘Red Death’ is yet to put pen-to-paper on a new deal with Tony Khan’s organisation.

PWNexus’ Cory Hays posted on X/Twitter revealing that WWE were ‘chomping at the bit’ (sic) to sign the PWG World Champion should he choose to not re-sign with AEW, following on from earlier reports suggesting that company head Triple H was - ahem - ‘extremely horny’ to secure his services.

The ball is clearly in Garcia’s court, and from the outside this appears a win/win situation for the former Jericho Appreciation Society stand-out. Should he remain with AEW then you’d expect the company to give him the rocket treatment, never mind a healthy payday if reports of the incoming WBD media rights deal are anything to go by.

If Garcia chooses to join WWE then again the company would also be likely to give him a strong push, with those backstage in WWE believing he is the next great technical wrestler, with comparisons made to the likes of Bryan Danielson and Roderick Strong.
