Daniel Garcia Conflicted Between Choosing WWE Or AEW

Daniel Garcia reportedly conflicted between sticking with AEW or going to WWE

Daniel Garcia's future with All Elite Wrestling appears to be more uncertain than initially believed.

Garcia's contract with AEW reportedly expires in October 2024 and he hadn't signed a new deal as of last week. It emerged in recent days that Garcia was interested in going to WWE and that interest is believed to be mutual from the company headed by Nick Khan and Triple H.

In an update, Cory of PWN has reported that Garcia is "conflicted" between remaining with All Elite Wrestling or jumping ship to WWE.

"As reported on @FightfulSelect yesterday, Daniel Garcia has not currently re-signed with AEW. #PWN was able to confirm this news and learned that Garcia is 'conflicted' about what he wants to do next whether it's staying with AEW or entertaining the possibility of going to WWE. Something to keep an eye on as we get closer to October when his contract is set to expire," Cory of PWN tweeted.

Reports in early August noted Garcia sticking with AEW was the most likely outcome but that may have changed. The former ROH Pure Champion is currently off AEW programming, having been written off at the beginning of July with a beatdown from MJF. The angle was carried out as a safety net in case Garcia doesn't sign a new contract with AEW.
