Bronson Reed Reveals Triple H's Words Of Encouragement After Winning WWE NXT North American Title

The two shared an embrace backstage after NXT

Bronson Reed has revealed how Triple H and Shawn Michaels both embraced him before the former gave him words of encouragement after he won the North American Championship last week.

Reed, 14 years to the day since he had his first-ever wrestling match, defeated Johnny Gargano in a Steel Cage Match in the main-event of last week's NXT to lift his first major Title in the promotion.

The 32-year-old says winning the Championship is one of the best moments of his career but would hold what came after it - a personal exchange with The Game and The Heartbreak Kid - higher up his list.

Speaking to PWInsider, Reed said: "I mean, winning the North American championship is definitely up there, but I think the best experience for me is just to have that stamp of approval that what I’ve been doing for 14 years, my journey to get to here, is all worth it and I’m doing the right thing.

"When I got backstage after winning the championship on Tuesday, I was embraced by Shawn Michaels and Triple H. And as a kid, that’s dream stuff to be able to even meet those people, but to have them embrace me, congratulate me, and then Triple H said to me, “This is only the beginning.” That stuff is probably the biggest thing to me."
