Carmella Denies Testing Positive For Coronavirus

She claims she's been healthy the entire time...

This past Saturday, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful published a report, claiming a number of WWE personalities had come forth to say that somebody within the company had tested positive for COVID-19, shortly after production wrapped on WrestleMania 36. Their claims were backed up by internal company memos that noted the situation.

Later that day, WWE released a formal statement confirming the positive test, while noting that the person has since recovered.

Though the individual was identified to WWE personnel, Sapp omitted the name from his reports, out of respect and privacy.

This, of course, has led to speculation from fans, with Carmella's name coming up as a possibility. Both her and Corey Graves missed the slate of Performance Center tapings up to and including WrestleMania, before returning to TV this past Friday.

Carmella herself has taken to Twitter to deny the allegations, writing, "I appreciate your concern, but don’t believe everything you read on the internet. Fortunately, I’ve been healthy through all of this."

Carmella appeared alongside Dana Brooke on Friday's episode of SmackDown. There, the two challenged WWE Women's Tag Team champions Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross to a match for the titles.
