Chris Jericho: Paul Wight And Sting Were Kind Of Insulted In WWE

"We know how to treat our legendary performers with respect..."

Chris Jericho believes Paul Wight and Sting were both not treated with the respect they deserve during their time in WWE, and believes All Elite Wrestling knows how to get the best out of wrestling legends.

Wight became the latest, and arguably most surprising name, to move to AEW from WWE when the former 'Big Show' signed a long-term deal with Tony Khan's company last week.

Sting is another legend who has signed a full-time deal with AEW after a run with WWE and Jericho, who himself spent almost two decades with the company, believes neither were used to the best of their ability within Vince McMahon's promotion.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Jericho said: "These are guys that were kind of almost insulted in their WWE runs. [Sting and Wight were] definitely not treated with too much respect over the last few years.

"We treat our legends with respect, we don’t make jokes out of them and WWE is notorious for that, whether it’s Sting, Paul Wight, Tully Blanchard, Arn Anderson, Jake Roberts, Dustin Rhodes, throw in Chris Jericho.

"We know how to treat our legendary performers with respect and make them all look great and make them all worthy of being in AEW because if they aren’t worthy of being in AEW why would they be there?"
