Report: NXT Producer Re-Signs With WWE

A backstage name in NXT is sticking around after signing a new deal

An important backstage figure in NXT looks to be sticking around in the brand for the foreseeable future. Amidst all the contract news in WWE recently, with the promotion re-signing notable talents such as former world champions Asuka, Sheamus, Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, and many others in 2024, there have also been new contracts for those behind the scenes.

Steve Corino, former ECW World Champion, has reportedly put pen to paper on a new multi-year deal with WWE, per Bodyslam.net. Corino has been working as both a trainer/coach and producer on WWE’s developmental brand for the last seven years. His role as both tag team coach and NXT producer are set to continue, though he reportedly has his eyes on doing something more with some NXT talent too.

Per Bodyslam, Corino is hoping to have NXT wrestlers compete and work in his PWF (Premier Wrestling Federation) promotion. In recent months, NXT wrestlers have been working in the likes of Pro Wrestling NOAH, GCW’s Bloodsport, and TNA. Corino is the part owner of PWF and the Carolina Wresting Academy.
