CM Punk Would Have Loved To Be In The AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament

It wasn't Punk's time

All Elite Wrestling's second World Title Eliminator Tournament recently got underway and the likes of Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley, Orange Cassidy and Lance Archer are fighting it out for a shot at the AEW World Championship.

One person not in the tournament is CM Punk but the 43-year-old revealed to DAZN that he would have loved to be involved.

"I would have loved to have been a part of it. Looking at the field and seeing the names that were in it, I definitely think I could have fit in there. It'll come. You know, it's not my time but it'll come at a later date," Punk said.

"Looking at the bigger picture of things, the map that I have laid out in front of me, I know all the destinations. You know, there's so many people I wanna get in the ring with but knowing how much time I have, I know I'm going to get to all of them people."

Since signing with AEW, Punk has faced Powerhouse Hobbs, Darby Allin, Daniel Garcia and Matt Sydal as he looks to climb the rankings towards a potential TNT or World Title match.
