Damage CTRL Win WWE Women's Tag Team Titles On Raw

New champions on WWE Raw!

New WWE Women's Tag Team Champions were crowned on the September 12 edition of Monday Night Raw.

Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah took on Damage CTRL's Dakota Kai and IYO SKY on the red brand and it was the challengers who came away with the win after Kai decked Aliyah with the Kai-Ropractor.

Damage CTRL initially looked set to lose the contest after Aliyah connected with her finisher but Bayley put Kai's foot on the bottom rope. With Raquel Rodriguez being a babyface, she decided to pursue Bayley in anger, abandoning her partner in the process, and the former NXT Women's Champion ended up being taken out by IYO SKY. This provided the opening for Kai's Kai-Ropractor.

Rodriguez and Aliyah only won the titles two weeks ago, defeating SKY and Kai in the tournament final to crown new WWE Women's Tag Team Champions. Kai was pinned in that match but she wasn't the legal woman which led to the rematch on September 12.

Damage CTRL is a new faction in WWE, having formed at SummerSlam when Bayley, IYO SKY, and Dakota Kai returned to WWE TV.
