Dominik Mysterio's Injury Considered A 'Freak Accident'

Dominik Mysterio won't need surgery from "freak accident" injury

WWE has been mired with a lot of injuries in recent weeks with the likes of Rhea Ripley being forced into vacating her WWE Women’s World Championship. She isn’t the only member of the Judgment Day who has picked up an injury, as Dominik Mysterio has done too. Similarly to Ripley, this is being described as a “freak accident”.

In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that Mysterio picked up an injury in a “freak accident” on Monday Night RAW two weeks ago on April 15 in his match with Andrade, where he suffered a defeat. He hasn’t competed since and was kept off the European tour, showing up last week with his arm slinged up.

Mysterio himself has provided an update on his injury, giving some good and positive news. On X, he posted a gif and a caption which stated “No surgery for this guy.” The absence of surgery likely implies that the injury is not super serious, and that he will be back sooner rather than later.

This contradicts the original report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter which indicated that Mysterio would be undergoing Tommy John Surgery, repairing ligaments in his elbow.
