‘Dynamite Kid’ Tommy Billington to make AEW debut on Collision

Tommy Billington - the nephew of the influential ‘Dynamite Kid’ Tom Billington - is set to make his All Elite Wrestling debut on the May 11 edition of Collision.

Billington is set to take on FTR’s Dax Harwood in singles competition in Vancouver BC’s Rogers Arena, with AEW President Tony Khan announcing the bout on X/Twitter:

“This Saturday, 5/11 @RogersArena Vancouver, BC Saturday Night #AEWCollision Live on TBS, 8pm ET/7pm CT "Dynamite Kid" @Billingtons22 vs @DaxFTR. It's a battle for the books: FTR's Dax Harwood collides vs Dynamite Kid Tommy Billington LIVE in Vancouver on a special TBS Saturday!”

Billington teams with younger brother Mark Billington as the Billington Bulldogs on the independent scene, with the 23-year-old having wrestled as a singles star for much of 2024. The team were formerly signed to MLW.

The original Dynamite Kid is one of the most influential wrestlers of all time, wrestling across North America and Japan as part of the junior heavyweight explosion of the early 1980s. A controversial character outside of the ring, the former WWE Tag Team Champion retired in 1996 due to a severe back injury, and died in 2018 aged 60.
