Drew McIntyre Thinks Alan Shearer Would Have "A Heck Of A Claymore"

A mean Claymore from Alan Shearer

While Alan Shearer's right foot was famous for scoring goals, former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre believes the Premier League's all-time leading goalscorer would have "a heck of a Claymore on him" if he stepped inside the squared circle.

Ahead of WWE's return to Newcastle upon Tyne next week, McIntyre spoke to Cultaholic Wrestling's Tom Campbell for BBC Newcastle and while playing Claymore or Clayless, The Scottish Warrior recalled meeting Shearer with Sheamus in Los Angeles.

"He's gonna join the Clayless gang. Me and Sheamus, we did a football event in LA for Soccer Saturday and Alan was there and we got to meet him. First time I've met him, first time Sheamus has met him and suddenly Sheamus starts calling him Uncle Al and that's all he referred to him as for the rest of the day. He was so cool about it," McIntyre said.

"But yeah, a genuinely good guy so he gets the Clayless and I feel like he'd have a heck of a Claymore on him. So maybe if Sami [Zayn] starts stirring Shearer can try a sliding Claymore."

WWE will return to Newcastle's Utilita Arena on Thursday, April 28. McIntyre will headline the show in a clash with Bobby Lashley.
