EC3 Claims William Regal Instantly Regretted Signing With AEW

William Regal seemingly didn't have a good time in AEW

After less than a year in the promotion, William Regal is done with All Elite Wrestling and The Gentleman Villain is reportedly finalising a new WWE deal that will see him return to the company after the new year in a backstage role. Regal had previously spent 22 years in WWE and worked closely in NXT as Director of Talent Development and Head of Global Recruiting.

Following his WWE release in January 2022, Regal made his debut in All Elite Wrestling at the Revolution pay-per-view in March, uniting Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson following their match to form Blackpool Combat Club.

From there, Regal's time with the promotion quickly took a downward turn, according to EC3, and the former WWE talent has claimed Regal instantly regretted joining AEW.

"When he went over to AEW, the word was, he said, 'I immediately regret this decision, there's very much a maturity issue here within management,'" EC3 said on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws.

EC3 also claimed that Regal tried to take on a mentoring role in AEW but the talent weren't listening.

EC3 is currently outside of both AEW and WWE and he is working for the National Wrestling Alliance. He launched Control Your Narrative as a standalone promotion this year but the company is currently on hiatus.
