Edge Reveals Which WWE NXT Star He Thinks Is "The Guy"

NXT returns tonight after a one-week pause and the black and gold brand will be looking to provide audiences with quality programming over the next month. With NXT TakeOver: Tampa having been cancelled, WWE's third brand will now broadcast all matches scheduled for the show on episodes of NXT TV throughout April, starting tonight with Triple H scheduled to open the episode. 

WWE Superstar Edge was full of praise for NXT during a recent media call. When asked about which wrestlers in developmental he has his eyes on, he said he and Tomasso Ciampa had a close relationship because of their neck injuries and that he loved Johnny Gargano. However, the 11-time world champion gave special praise to Finn Balor as he called him "the guy" because of how exciting he was to watch with his Prince gimmick. 

Edge said: "There are so many talents, you can seriously point to everyone on the roster. Obviously Ciampa and I have a very close relationship, we're both 'neck' guys for a lack of a better term. So he's picking his brain a lot and I love it because he cares a lot and he'll try the ideas too. I love Gargano. To me, 'the guy' who is dialed in and completely found what it is that he's supposed to do is Finn Balor. It's exciting to watch him right now. To me, he and Gargano set the template for what an NXT match should be going forward."
