Former WWE Superstar Darren Young To Debut In NJPW

After almost a year since his last match...

Back on October 29, 2017, Darren Young was released by WWE along with Emma and Summer Rae. The former WWE Tag Team Champion has remained somewhat involved in professional wrestling since his release, competing in CHIKARA in 2018 and for a number of different indie promotions, but he has largely focussed on his acting career.

Now going by his real-life name Fred Rosser, the former WWE Superstar is set to return to the ring as New Japan Pro-Wrestling announced Mr. No Days Off will be in action on night one of Fighting Spirit Unleashed on September 4.

Also on the card for night one is Jay White vs. Flip Gordan and Brody King vs. Hikuleo. The NJPW USA two-week event will then be headlined by KENTA vs. Jeff Cobb for the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship Right To Challenge Contract on September 11. The Bullet Club member and The Hawaiian Hulk have been at each other's throats since KENTA Low Blowed Cobb during their semi-final match on NJPW Strong.

Check out the announced card for Fighting Spirit Unleashed below:

Night One:
• Brody King vs. Hikuleo
• Jay White vs. Flip Gordon
• Fred Rosser vs. TBA

Night Two:
• KENTA vs. Jeff Cobb - IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship Right To Challenge Contract
