Former WWE Talent Daniel Rodimer Indicted On Murder Charge

Former WWE talent Daniel Rodimer has been indicted on a murder charge over the death of a man who sustained a head injury during a Halloween party at a Las Vegas hotel in 2023, the Associated Press has reported. Rodimer is expected to appear before a judge on May 8 following his indictment. 

Rodimer's attorneys, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld, stated that Rodimer "maintains his complete innocence and looks forward to his day in court."

Rodimer turned himself in at the Clark County Detention Center in Nevada in March 2024 after Las Vegas Police issued a warrant for his arrest on the charge of open murder. Rodimer remains out on bail on a $200,000 bond.

The warrant for Rodimer's arrest was issued in relation to the homicide of Christopher Tapp on October 29, 2023. Tapp's passing was ruled a homicide as a result of blunt force trauma to the head following an altercation inside a hotel room. Tapp was transported to hospital and died several days later. Investigators initially believed that Tapp had died following a fall but they later learned he had been involved in an argument with Daniel Rodimer.  

Rodimer initially appeared on WWE programming as a contestant in season four of Tough Enough and he wrestled for the company from 2004 until 2007. He only had three matches on the WWE main roster but plans were once in place for Rodimer to join Rated RKO with Edge and Randy Orton. Rodimer was released, though, and he retired from pro wrestling soon after. 

Outside of pro wrestling, Rodimer has run for political office multiple times. He was the Republican nominee in Nevada's 3rd congressional district in the House of Representatives for the 2020 election but he lost to incumbent Susie Lee of the Democratic Party.
