'Heels' Renewed For Second Season By Starz

Heels' first season was met with critical acclaim

Heels is coming back for a second season.

Starz have renewed the popular professional-wrestling based drama for another season following the success of the first, which premiered in the summer and ended in early October.

Jeffrey Hirsch, President and CEO of Starz, said: "It’s clear from the critical and fan acclaim that the stories and characters from the Duffy Wrestling League have made a connection with audiences bringing a community that is not often found to premium TV.

"I’m excited for our amazing cast and executive producers to get back into the ring together for a second season."

Heels follows the men and women who pursue their dreams of becoming pro wrestlers in a Georgia town. Stephen Amell, the show's main character, is set to reprise his role as Jack Spade but it is currently unknown if CM Punk (Ricky Rabies) will also return to the show.

According to Deadline, production on the second season with begin in 2022. Trey Tucker (Bobby Pin) and Robby Ramos (Diego Cottonmouth) will reportely become series regulars, while producer and showrunner Mike O'Malley will also return and reprise his role as the series' main antagonist, Charlie Gully.
