Indi Hartwell Finishes Match Despite Injury On WWE NXT

Indi Hartwell remains WWE NXT Women's Champion

One of WWE NXT's featured performers suffered an injury on the special Spring Breakin' edition of NXT on Tuesday, April 25.

Indi Hartwell was in action at Spring Breakin' as she defended the NXT Women's Championship in a Triple Threat against Tiffany Stratton and Roxanne Perez. During the contest, Stratton hit a dive from the top rope onto the two other competitors but Hartwell picked up an injury after she landed awkwardly on her right ankle. She was immediately checked on by WWE's medical team as the match continued with Stratton and Perez.

The match became noticeably more sloppy while Hartwell was checked at ringside and she was eventually taken to the back, returning in the final moments to retain the NXT Women's Championship.

If Hartwell will miss any time is unknown. She has been NXT Women's Champion since winning a Ladder Match at Stand & Deliver on Saturday, April 1 ahead of night one of WrestleMania 39. Hartwell has been a part of NXT since 2019.
