Intercontinental Championship Match Set For September 23 WWE RAW

September 23 WWE RAW to feature an Intercontinental Championship match

Bron Breakker officially has his next challenger, with the Intercontinental Champion scheduled to put the title on the line on the September 23 edition of WWE Raw.

Bron squared off with Jey Uso on the September 16 episode of Raw, with the two exchanging barbs on the mic. Bron claimed he’d achieved more in six months as a singles star than Jey had in his entire career, with Uso stating that Bron’s IC Title reign would be 'short and sweet' like Breakker's NFL career. The two then came to blows, with Uso standing tall with the title to end the segment.

WWE green-lit the title match for next week’s Raw - confirming earlier reports - with ‘Main Event Jey’ earning a title shot after emerging victorious from a four-way number one contender’s bout against Braun Strowman, Pete Dunne, and Ilja Dragunov on the September 9 edition of Raw.

Also confirmed for next week’s Raw: Sami Zayn will face Ludwig Kaiser in singles competition after the Imperium member jumped Zayn, whilst Drew McIntyre will return to address CM Punk ahead of their Hell in a Cell bout at Bad Blood on October 5.
