John Cena Helped Bianca Belair Deal With 26-Second Loss To Becky Lynch At WWE SummerSlam

John Cena helped Bianca Belair after her squash loss to Becky Lynch at WWE SummerSlam 2021

When Becky Lynch made her grand return to WWE at SummerSlam 2021, celebration soon turned to anger after Lynch handily defeated WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair in 26 seconds.

Belair handily recovered from the loss and received even stronger fan support as a result, and as ‘The EST’ told Ryan Satin on Out of Character, she even received support from WWE legend John Cena:

"Sometimes when you think it can be the worst thing that's happening, and then it flourishes into this beautiful year long storyline, and it all comes full circle, and that's what it did for me. But in the moment, it can be tough. That 26 second moment was tough for me. I remember going to my husband. We always allow each other to vent. Then we're like,’ Okay, I'm validating your feelings, but how do we get out of this? Like, we can't stay here in this mindset. Let's look at the bigger picture.’ Then John Cena was there. He pulled me aside and he talked to me. He really helped me with my perspective of that, and it's going to carry with me for the rest of my career," said Belair.

Lynch would eventually be traded to Raw whilst champion, eventually dropping the title back to Belair at WrestleMania 38 Night One.
