Karrion Kross, Scarlett, Shotzi Blackheart Work WWE SmackDown Dark Matches

Could call-ups be forthcoming?

NXT champion Karrion Kross worked his third "main roster" match in the span of a week, while Scarlett and Shotzi Blackheart wrestled each other, as part of Friday night's SmackDown tapings in Tampa.

According to PWInsider, Kross defeated former Retribution member Slapjack in his untelevised bout.

Kross previously wrestled Shelton Benjamin on a Main Event taping earlier this week, and worked with Dolph Ziggler at last Friday's SmackDown tapings.

Scarlett lost to Blackheart in their match. She was not at Kross' side for his match with Slapjack. Prior reports had indicated that Kross and Scarlett would be kept separate in their dark match appearances.

Kross, Scarlett, and Blackheart are not the only NXT talents that have been seen in "main roster" action over the past week. North American champion Bronson Reed worked with Robert Roode in a dark match last Friday night, before going on to defeat Drew Gulak at this week's Main Event tapings.

Neither Kross nor Reed (both current titleholders) have wrestled on the last two NXT programs. Each man had their most recent match for the brand at TakeOver: In Your House on June 13.
