Main Event Set For Impact Bound For Glory (SPOILERS)

The push for October begins

The main event has been set for the 17th annual Bound For Glory, following the results of several matches at this weekend's Impact tapings in Nashville.

In a match taped for Victory Road, Impact World champion Christian Cage retained his title over Ace Austin. Later in the tapings, in a match taped for Impact, X Division champion Josh Alexander defeated Austin to earn a shot at Cage at Bound For Glory.

After Alexander's win, he was attacked by both Austin and Madman Fulton, to which Cage made the save. Alexander then argued with Cage, at which point both men were attacked by Austin and Fulton. Former Impact star and current AEW wrestler/administrator Christopher Daniels made the save in a surprise appearance.

It'll mark the first time Cage has wrestled at Bound For Glory since 2008, where he came out on the losing end of a three way match involving Booker T and AJ Styles.

Bound For Glory takes place on Saturday, October 23, from Sam's Town Live in Las Vegas. It'll be Impact's first event outside Nashville since the onset of the pandemic.
