Nicholas Jackson Addresses Jack Perry's Unprotected Chair Shot To The Head

Nicholas Jackson has updated on Jack Perry's status following controversial chair shot

AEW was embroiled in some controversy following AEW’s Blood & Guts edition of Dynamite this week due to a spot which took place in the latter stages of the match. The Elite’s Jack Perry was handcuffed to the side of the steel cage, and he was subject to several attacks from Team AEW members. Mark Briscoe would nail Perry over the head with a steel chair, leading to discourse online about the safety of such a spot.

It was reported following the show on Wrestling Observer Radio that the spot utilised a gimmicked chair, which was thinner and more shaved down than most chairs used usually. Due to the rarity of unprotected chair shots to the head, it was still a topic of discussion.

The Elite’s Nicholas Jackson spoke to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated following the match, and stated that Perry was safe and sound after the spot.

“All I know is Jack is fine, and that’s all that matters. We know the risk we’re taking in the ring and it wouldn’t have happened if he wasn’t prepared for it.”

Gimmicked chair or not, at least Perry is fine after the match.
