NXT Facing Pre-Emption During Summer Olympics

Two broadcasts seem likely to be affected

The July 27 and August 3 episodes of NXT are looking at possible pre-emptions, due to the forthcoming Summer Olympics.

The official press release for the Tokyo games lists a thorough broadcast schedule for the over two weeks worth of events, to be broadcast on NBC's family of networks.

For the listings under Tuesday, July 27 and Tuesday, August 3, both dates have events listed for the USA Network at 8 pm EST, including several events airing live.

Monday Night Raw will not be affected by the games. For July 26 and August 2, USA Network has no events listed between 8 and 11 pm, so unless a live event bleeds over past the 8 pm hour, Raw will run normally.

WWE has not commented on any official changes for those NXT episodes as of this writing.

The Summer Olympics commence on Friday, July 23, and officially close on Sunday, August 8. Network carrying events stateside include the main NBC Network, as well as cable channels USA Network, NBC Sports Network, CNBC, the Olympic Channel, and streaming service Peacock.
