NXT's Arturo Ruas Undergoes Successful Surgery

Timetable for his return is unknown...

NXT performer Arturo Ruas has been sidelined after sustaining an injury to his arm during a match with Kushida on the November 18 episode of the program.

A report from Fightful indicates that the injury was believed to be a torn bicep.

Ruas has since undergone successful surgery to repair the injury. He wrote on Twitter, "The surgery was successful now it’s time to heal and comeback stronger. For a warrior there will only be victory with a good fight and glory with honor."

No timetable has been given for Ruas' return.

Though he was selected to the Raw brand in October's Draft, Ruas was moved back to NXT shortly after. He had been part of Shane McMahon's Raw Underground beginning in August, before the end of those recurring segments seemed to leave Ruas' future unclear.

Fightful notes, "When we asked about his status on Raw, we're told that the company sidelining Raw Underground set the stage for his NXT return, as many expected. His NXT appearance was not scheduled to be a one-off, as there were creative plans for him moving forward in NXT."
