NXT Women's Championship Match Set For WWE NXT TakeOver: In Your House
Raquel Gonzalez's next challenger has been confirmed
WWE has announced that Ember Moon will challenge Raquel Gonzalez for the NXT Women's Championship at NXT TakeOver: In Your House.
The match was made on this week's episode of NXT after Moon called out Gonzalez, following an angle last week where she was forced to watch as the reigning champion attacked her partner, Shotzi Blackheart, after the duo had defeated Gonzalez and Dakota Kai in tag-team action.
Gonzalez would come out to the ring and stand across from Moon, leading to a brawl. Moon would knock Gonzalez out of the squared circle before Kai attacked the new number one contender from behind.
Moon will also face Kai in singles action next week on NXT, on the go-home show before TakeOver: In Your House.
Moon is a former NXT Women's champion, having held the title between November 2017 and April 2018. Gonzalez won the NXT Women's Championship by defeating Io Shirai at TakeOver: Stand & Deliver this April. In her first title defense, Gonzalez retained against Mercedes Martinez last month.
