OTT Vacate World Championship

The title's future will be addressed when the promotion returns...

Earlier today, Over The Top Wrestling announced their world championship had been vacated with immediate effect. The future of the title will be addressed when OTT returns after the coronavirus pandemic.

OTT tweeted: "With immediate effect we declare the OTT championship as vacated. A decision on the future of the title will be made as we return to active competition."

This comes amidst allegations of sexual abuse against former champion David Starr. Starr has denied the allegations.

In regards to the world championship, OTT hasn't run a show since Dead On on February 23 but currently plans to return to active competition on October 31, 2020, with the Sixth Year Anniversary show at the National Stadium in Dublin, Ireland. Whether the show goes ahead remains to be seen as Ireland remains largely under lockdown because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Mass gatherings in Ireland are currently banned until September 1.

Starr defeated Jordan Devlin for the OTT World Championship back on October 26 at OTT Fifth Anniversary. He held the title for 236 days.
