Remaining AEW/NJPW Forbidden Door Tickets Sell Out In Minutes

At least 14,000 sold in all

The remaining 3000 tickets for AEW and New Japan's Forbidden Door pay-per-view sold out within minutes of the public onsale on Friday.

The sellout follows Thursday's presale, in which 11,000 tickets were sold in under 40 minutes.

As it currently stands, Forbidden Door will have more than 14,000 fans in attendance at Chicago's United Center on Sunday, June 26. There's still the possibility of "production hold" tickets being released that could factor into the final attendance.

Forbidden Door was officially announced two weeks ago on AEW Dynamite. It marks the first co-promoted event between AEW and NJPW.

This will be the second time AEW has run The United Center. The first was last year's "First Dance" edition of Rampage, in which CM Punk returned to wrestling after a seven and a half year absence.

AEW didn't even advertise Punk and sold more than 12,000 tickets in that event's presale. The remaining amount sold in the public onsale in under four minutes, bringing event attendance to 15,316.

No matches have been advertised for Forbidden Door as of yet. AEW still has Double or Nothing coming up on May 29 in Las Vegas.
