Report: IMPACT Wrestling In Talks With Chelsea Green

Could Green end up in IMPACT?

Chelsea Green could be heading back to IMPACT Wrestling.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that IMPACT were in talks with The Hot Mess this past week, but no deal has been agreed between the two parties as of yet.

Green previously worked for IMPACT from 2016 until 2018 as Laurel Van Ness and she is a former Knockouts Champion. She joined Lucha Underground for a brief period following her departure before she signed with WWE. Green then spent three years with Vince McMahon's company until she was released last month.

The former Knockouts Champion commented on a possible IMPACT Wrestling return during a recent chat with Ross Tweddell and she revealed she'd be excited to "maybe pop in and out."

She said: "Here's what I'll say, never say never because I had such a good relationship with them. Obviously, I was their women's champion in 2018 - feels like it was yesterday – and I have a great relationship with everyone in that company. So, I am excited to maybe pop in and out. Who knows?"

If IMPACT and Green do reach a deal, she may well pop up at Slammiversary. Her 90-day non-compete clause expires on July 14 and the pay-per-view will take place a few days later on July 17.
