Report: Michael Cole Stepping Down From Some Roles In WWE

Michael Cole is taking a step back from some responsibilities in WWE

Michael Cole has had a major influence over the WWE announce team over the course of recent decades, leading the line as the voice of WWE and managing those around him. However, a change has been made to this position, and Cole has reportedly stepped down from his role as the lead management over the announcers.

PWInsider have confirmed with sources that Cole has pulled back from some of his responsibilities in order  to remain focused on his work as lead announcer for WWE’s PLE’s and the flagship Monday Night RAW show. This decision was one made by Cole himself rather than WWE. It was stated that WWE has zero issue with Cole taking this route and taking a step back.

The report also states that the belief is that long-time employee in WWE Sue Cundaro has already taken up the responsibilities left behind by Cole, as she was someone who worked alongside him in this position. After being in his role for so long and without so much as taking a week off from work, it only makes sense for Cole to slow down at some point, and deservedly so.
