Report: Nick Khan To Take Over Stephanie McMahon's WWE Duties During Her Leave Of Absence

More on Stephanie McMahon's leave of absence

Nick Khan's power in WWE continues to grow.

Seen as one of the most influential people within the company, WWE President Nick Khan will take over Stephanie McMahon's duties as Chief Brand Officer following the announcement that she would be taking a leave of absence from most of her responsibilities, Wrestlenomics reported.

McMahon tweeted on Thursday: "As of tomorrow, I am taking a leave of absence from the majority of my responsibilities at WWE. WWE is a lifelong legacy for me and I look forward to returning to the company that I love after taking this time to focus on my family."

While many in WWE were shocked by McMahon's decision, it was noted by Wrestlenomics that business partners who work closely with Stephanie were told about her leave of absence on Thursday afternoon.

The Chief Brand Officer's busy schedule and her husband Triple H's recent health issues were both factors in her decision.

McMahon has been WWE's Chief Brand Officer since 2013 and she is also on the company's board of directors.
