Report: NJPW Star To Debut In AEW Next Month

The American Psycho is coming...

During a recent episode of Grilling JR, All Elite Wrestling commentator Jim Ross revealed the young promotion was trying to sign "athletic big guys." In recent months, AEW has made efforts to bring in this type of wrestler as Jeff Cobb debuted on Dynamite three weeks ago and Brodie Lee is set to make his debut on March 18.

Another big guy who has been in negotiations with AEW is New Japan Pro-Wrestling star Lance Archer. The American Psycho had a breakout year in 2019 in which he competed in his first G1 Climax in five years, and won his first singles title in the Japanese promotion as he defeated Juice Robinson for the IWGP United States Championship at King Of Pro-Wrestling.

AEW's talks with Archer have seemingly been successful as Mike Johnson reported on PWInsider that he is set to make his debut on Dynamite next month. How he will be used by the American promotion is not currently known, but AEW teased on Twitter recently that he may be the Exalted One as they tweeted his famous catchphrase, "Everybody Dies."

Johnson penned: "There is a LOT of talk that Lance Hoyt is coming in next month, especially since he is not listed for the New Japan Cup. AEW teased him as the Exalted One a few days ago online."
