Report: Positive Update On AEW Fight Forever

Latest on AEW Fight Forever

After multiple delays, All Elite Wrestling's Fight Forever video game is seemingly close to being released.

According to Fightful Select, sources at YUKE'S believe an announcement about Fight Forever "will be coming sooner than later" and a release date is set to be revealed "fairly soon."

Mike Straw of Insider Gaming reported that Fight Forever will likely be launched around AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door on June 25.

Straw tweeted: "I've been told by a couple sources that the 2 weeks surrounding Forbidden Door is a likely launch window for AEW Fight Forever. One date mentioned is June 29. But not confident on a Thursday launch. I've reached out to THQ Nordic (The game's publisher) for comment."

It was initially hoped that Fight Forever would be released in the autumn of 2022 but past reports have noted the game's release was delayed while they tried to secure a Teen rating from the ESRB. THQ Nordic and AEW were able to secure the rating after toning down the blood and gore in Fight Forever. As of early April, the game was said to be "doing well but not 100 percent done."

Fightful Select further reported that people who worked on stories, music, and other elements of Fight Forever wrapped up as far back as a year ago. Veterans of past successful WWE video games helped put together the story mode for Fight Forever, and chants for the game were recorded back in April 2022.

When it does come out, AEW Fight Forever will be available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
