Report: Reason For Liv Morgan's WWE Push Revealed

Why did WWE decide to push Liv Morgan?

Liv Morgan has rapidly risen up the card in recent weeks and the popular talent won the Women's Money In The Bank Ladder Match on July 2. She then successfully cashed in her MITB briefcase later in the night on Ronda Rousey to win the SmackDown Women's Championship.

Morgan's rise has only continued since then and she defeated Natalya in her first title defence on the July 15 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, one reason for Morgan's recent push was because of Sasha Banks and Naomi's decision to walk out of Monday Night Raw on May 16. After the then-Women's Tag Team Champions left the show, WWE decided they needed a new top female babyface and Morgan was the talent they chose to go with.

Sasha Banks and Naomi were suspended indefinitely after they walked out of Raw and their WWE futures are uncertain, with reports having noted that Banks has actually been released by the company.
