Report: Reason Seth Rollins Vs. AJ Styles Opened WWE Night of Champions

Find out why Seth Rollins vs. AJ Styles opened Night of Champions below

To the surprise of many, Seth Rollins vs. AJ Styles for the World Heavyweight Championship opened the Night of Champions pay-per-view on Saturday, May 27, with the decision being criticised as only giving credence to the idea the new belt is secondary to the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship held by Roman Reigns.

Outside forces seemingly prevented the World Heavyweight Championship match from going on last, however. According to Better Wrestling Experience, the reason Rollins vs. Styles opened the show was because Rollins will be flying out of Saudi Arabia immediately to resume filming on Captain America: New World Order.

Rollins was spotted on the set of the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie in recent weeks and he is believed to portray a member of the Serpent Society in the new Captain America flick.

When he does arrive back on set, Rollins will do so as World Heavyweight Champion. The Architect defeated AJ Styles for the belt after connecting with a Pedigree and Stomp.
