Report: Rebellion 2021 Does Big PPV Numbers For IMPACT Wrestling

IMPACT Wrestling held their second pay-per-view of the year on April 25 and Rebellion has been widely regarded as a very good night of professional wrestling. 

The show was built around the Title vs. Title match between IMPACT World Champion Rich Swann and AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and the pay-per-view looks to have done big numbers for IMPACT.

While exact figures are currently unavailable, Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Rebellion appears to have been IMPACT's most successful pay-per-view in years. 

The event was the most purchased pay-per-view on streaming platforms since Anthem purchased the company in 2017 and television pay-per-view buys are estimated to be 9,300. Streaming buys accounted for a much larger audience than those who bought the show through their TV, though. 

Even though the TV purchases were smaller than on streaming, for one provider Rebellion buys were seven times higher than Hard To Kill 2021 and nine times higher than Bound For Glory 2020. 

With Rebellion having done strong numbers, it continues what has been a big period on pay-per-view for IMPACT. Slammiversary 2020 was reportedly the most bought pay-per-view since the company lost their Spike TV deal in 2014 and Hard To Kill 2021 came close to reaching those numbers.
