Report: Ric Flair Training For In-Ring Return

He hasn't wrestled in more than ten years

16-plus time former World champion Ric Flair is apparently looking to wrestle at least one more match.

After stories began circulating about a possible comeback for Flair, Dave Meltzer confirmed the rumors, writing, "Ric Flair is training to wrestle again. The stories about his return are accurate."

The now 73 year old Flair seemingly retired after losing a retirement bout to Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 24 in 2008. He went on to wrestle 16 matches after that event, for TNA Wrestling, and for a Hulk Hogan-headlined tour of Australia in late 2009.

His most recent match was a loss to Sting on an episode of Impact in September of 2011. Since then, Flair has gotten physically involved in matches with WWE, generally while acting as manager to daughter Charlotte Flair, particularly around 2016.

On social media over the past several weeks, Flair has posted videos of himself training with current AEW star Jay Lethal. On Friday, Flair tweeted a video captioned, "Like I Said- It’s All About The Fundamentals. If You Can’t Punch, You Can’t Kick, You Can’t Work! WOOOOO!"
