Report: Update On Miro's Absence From AEW

Miro has been absent from AEW for several months

After a dominant run as AEW TNT Champion, Miro has been conspicuous by his absence, having been out of action since Autumn 2021.

‘The Redeemer’ was originally out with a hamstring injury, and despite being cleared for an in-ring return hasn’t been used by AEW since November. However, a report from Fightful Select has shed some light on ‘God’s Favourite Champion’s whereabouts.

The report states that Miro has been pursuing outside interests, most notably recording a television pilot in New York for CBS. Miro has reportedly been undertaking other film projects during his downtime, whilst wife CJ Perry (fka Lana) has also been undergoing TV work.

Miro recently signed a four-year contract extension with AEW, with his original AEW deal set to expire in Spring 2022. After debuting for the company in September 2020, Miro worked to become one of AEW’s top heels, with a run of impressive dominant TNT Title defences across AEW TV and PPV reminding the wrestling world just what he was capable of.
