Report: Update On Planned WWE Releases

More on rumoured WWE releases

There have been further reports that WWE releases are on the horizon.

Wrestlevotes via GiveMeSport reported this week that talent cuts are expected to be made at some point in the coming weeks before WWE's Money in the Bank pay-per-view on July 1.

Better Wrestling Experience has since reported that while they don't know who is scheduled to be released, cuts are "subject to happen" as "part of an annual review." The releases aren't expected to be major, akin to cuts in 2020 and 2021, but there will be "some few cuts here and there."

Fightful Select has reported, however, that WWE CEO Nick Khan told "some connected within the sports agenting world around WrestleMania that there weren't planned roster cuts at the time."

Nick Khan did publicly state following WrestleMania that any cuts following the WWE-UFC merger wouldn't affect the pro wrestling company's TV product. "Aggressive" cuts would still be made to other departments within WWE, however.
