Report: WWE Hoping To Have Live Fans In Attendance By Royal Rumble 2021

They haven't had fans in the building since March...

Fans have been unable to attend a WWE show since the March 13 edition of Friday Night SmackDown because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The company initially decided not to have anyone in the crowd, but they quickly changed their minds and Performance Center recruits could be seen in the audience for Raw and SmackDown until late August.

WWE has since moved to the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida and fans have been able to appear on LED screens in the ThunderDome since August 21.

When live fans will be able to return to WWE events is still up in the air, but WrestleVotes recently reported the company is hoping to have fans back by Royal Rumble 2021. What the NHL and NBA decide to do about fans for their upcoming seasons will also help determine WWE's course of action.

WrestleVotes tweeted: "Asked what the Royal Rumble location plans are: Learned that WWE has a city in mind & are looking to get back to live crowds prior to that. However, they are keeping an eye on what the NBA & NHL do for next season regarding fans and capacity levels."
