Samoa Joe Comments On Reported WWE NXT Changes

Samoa Joe wants NXT to continue evolving

Samoa Joe has commented on the reported changes coming to NXT.

WWE released 12 NXT Superstars a couple of weeks ago, including big names like Bronson Reed, Bobby Fish and Mercedes Martinez. Reports noted soon after that major changes were on the horizon for the black and gold brand and WWE planned to transition NXT back to being a development brand with an emphasis on younger and bigger wrestlers.

There has also been talk of revamping the brand with a new logo, lighting, and a new format.

Samoa Joe looks set to remain on NXT for the long haul and he will be NXT Champion as the Tuesday night show enters a new era if he defeats Karrion Kross on Sunday at TakeOver 36.

When asked about the reported changes by Sports Illustrated, The Samoan Submission Machine admitted he wants NXT to always continue changing and evolving.

"I hope NXT is never the same as it used to be. I hope NXT is always changing and evolving and experimenting and trying new things. So much has been done in NXT, so many barriers have been crossed and so many new, amazing superstars have been introduced. It's always been a place for experimentation, it's always been a place for something new. I hope it continues to be that. I hope it's never the same old NXT," Joe said.
