Tegan Nox, Shotzi Blackheart Debut On WWE SmackDown
Two NXT call-ups debut with a win
Tegan Nox and Shotzi Blackheart debuted on Friday night's episode of SmackDown, scoring a win over Women's Tag Team champions Natalya and Tamina.
It was stated before the match that the champions would be facing a brand new team. In the end, Blackheart pinned Natalya with her "Ball Pit" senton.
Both Nox and Blackheart have worked dark matches prior to Raw and SmackDown tapings over the past several weeks. Blackheart wrestled matches with Scarlett and Toni Storm over the previous two Fridays, while Nox wrestled Storm in a dark match at this past week's Raw tapings.
The match was Nox's first televised bout in nearly a year. She had been out of action with a torn ACL since August 2020, before making her return on this past week's NXT Great American Bash.
Both women have been part of the NXT Tag Team title scene in recent times, in different fashions. Blackheart reigned with Ember Moon with the belts before losing them to The Way on May 4. Nox's return this week caused the distraction that cost The Way their titles.
