Title Change Takes Place On WWE Raw

Finn Balor & JD McDonagh become World Tag Team Champions on WWE Raw

New champions were crowned in the main event of the June 24 episode of Monday Night Raw.

The Awesome Truth of The Miz and R-Truth defended the World Tag Team Championships against Finn Balor and JD McDonagh on Raw and Judgment Day ultimately ended up capturing the titles after Liv Morgan interfered, taking out R-Truth before Balor connected with the Coup de Grace.

Liv Morgan has looked to seduce Dominik Mysterio in recent weeks and she even secured Judgment Day the tag team title shot after Morgan managed to convince R-Truth to put the belts on the line.

The title change on Raw makes Finn Balor a three-time tag team champion in WWE, having previously held the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles with Damian Priest. The titles were split at WrestleMania 40, with Grayson Waller and Austin Theory winning the WWE Tag Team Championships while The Miz and R-Truth won the World Tag Team Titles.

The loss on June 24 ended Awesome Truth's reign after 79 days. It also marked the first time JD McDonagh has won a title on the WWE main roster. The former Jordan Devlin previously held the NXT Cruiserweight Championship for 439 days from January 2020 until April 2021.
