Tom Phillips Reveals What He Hopes To Do Next Following WWE Release

Where will Phillips pop up next?

Tom Phillips was let go by WWE last week after nine years with the company and he has big plans for the future.

The former Raw commentator was a recent guest on Sports Media with Richard Deitsch and Phillips revealed he is hoping to use his skills as a commentator to work in the sports world, "whether it be college football, professional football, NBA, college basketball, baseball, hockey, anything."

In terms of possible opportunities, Phillips noted he would be open to podcasting, especially if he is able to talk about college American football.

"I'm fascinated by the podcasting world and it's something that I would love to be a part of. Especially being able to talk college football. That's not work for me, that's just fun. Listen, I understand nine years of WWE, my heart is gonna be in professional wrestling I think for the rest of my life. And I am grateful for everything that the professional wrestling industry did for me," Phillips said.

"I'm just so excited to be able to apply that to a different field. That being said, it's a new challenge. And if I can do something in a podcasting space that people want to listen to, that's really really cool."
