Tony Khan: AEW Are The Pepsi Of Pro Wrestling

AEW = Pepsi

While All Elite Wrestling are not the industry leader, the promotion is established within professional wrestling to the point that AEW are the "Pepsi of pro wrestling" according to Tony Khan.

"That doesn't mean you're an industry leader, but it's certainly not niche, either. We are a major company. We're the Pepsi of pro wrestling. Pepsi has their own identity and strong brand affinity, which is what we're building, too. A challenger brand involves being straightforward, and we've tried to do that, too. I studied Burger King marketing, too. It's really fascinating, and there have been plenty of ways to learn from their strategies," Khan told Sports Illustrated.

The AEW President has previously discussed AEW being a challenger brand, noting that he has taken inspiration from Burger King's advertising when taking shots at WWE

Pepsi remains Coca-Cola's main rival in the soft drinks market. Lover of Pepsi CM Punk is a two-time AEW World Champion. He is currently on the shelf with a torn triceps.
